Two things that made me smile today. First this ....
AardvAardFrom Unlimited Editions: Aardvark is the brainchild of Lesley and Pea, artist and designer, of St.Leonards on Sea. They delight in the particular and the vernacular: handmade signs, typography, village halls, fruit cake, tweed overcoats and twice-fried chips. Other inspirations include Edwardian picaresques, English Modernism and cheesy tunes of yesteryear.

oh my word. fabulous links. i particularly love the use of the word 'wonky' in that first. it's one of my favorites and completely under appreciated.
Love Sophie Blackall's work. Her illustrations in SPINSTER GOOSE are marvelously clever.
