When you were non-fiction

Somebody is selling my book on eBay. Not only are they selling at well over the list price but they are describing it as non-fiction. Since it is a picture book in which a boy is told that his parents gave him baths in a teapot this seems uproariously funny to me.

Now I'm not saying you shouldn't buy my book, because of course you should. Please do. But perhaps not on eBay. Not when you could spend less and get something like this:

Or this:

Or even this:

I'm just saying.

Let us know what the ebay seller gets for it in the end. Do you think they are just stupid, or are they counting on people thinking it has to be cheaper on ebay?

I once found an ex library copy of a Linda Newbery book (just like I had, too, except mine really was ex library) on amazon's market place for £100. Linda was a bit surprised, even though the book is rare.

Yes, I think they are counting on someone thinking it must be a bargain because it's on eBay.
I shouldn't have started browsing around on there, though, because I found all sorts of things I would happily buy.

Sara,

I am happy that I did look on ebay for your book- because in doing that(searching online) I found your blog site instead. My name is also Sara O'Leary and I just think that's neat. ;-) I would love to get a copy of your work. (signed would make me jump up and down with glee!)I do not have children but I do have a collection of children's books. Do you have a work email account that I could write to you at?

Thanks!

That is very funny - were you born an O'Leary? Because I got the name the hard way. Doubly hard as I was married in Quebec where you can't legally take your spouse's name.
You can write to me care of my blogname at gmail.com
